domestic cups should count. not as big as league and CL but a solid third. It's not a big trophy but not a small one. Medium trophy I guess. Depends on country too as it seems the FA Cup isn't taken as seriously as the Copa Del Rey in Spain.

It's still a trophy and you'd be crazy to not want to win it as opposed to actually winning it, all things being equal.

true true

The Fa Cup has lost all of it's appeal over here tbh. When we won it in 2014 it felt huge because it was our first trophy in fucking ages, but now it's meh. For a little team it's everything, but for Arsenal, we should be challenging for the Big Boy trophies.

For me, out of 10, I'd rate thus:

10- Domestic title
9- Champions League
2- FA Cup, Europa League
1- League Cup, Euro Super Cup, World Club Cup
0- Community Shield

I just want the PL

Don't even care about the CL. Fuck Europe lol
see, this argument was had a few threads ago, and it turn into, ''United fans only saying the league is more important because....yada, yada ,yada.........in England, the league has always been looked upon as the most important, unless of course like United in the 90's or City at the moment and you're trying to establish yourself in Europe.

So currently Wigan are a big club, as they are 5th of the last 5 FA Cup winner, until this years final of course.
Well no. Obviously it isn't the only thing I count towards being a big club.

How can you be a big club if you've won fuck all?

It's a big part of it.

I would have Europa above the FA Cup, personally I've always thought the importance put on it by the likes of the BBC was very cringey, even back in the 80's when giants like Spurs won it.<45>

It still requires a team to show up on the big day.

Usually have to knock off another top team or 2.

Not winning anything in 5+ years when your checkbook is as big as the others is pretty fucking ridiculous.

I think when it gets to the point of not having won one of the big two trophies(League/CL) in awhile a win like the one in 2014 is big time, but when you are winning league titles and CL's it may not mean quite as much. If it is between two massive clubs like Barca/RM then it is like bonus points over the other one to win it.

The problem is arsenal are getting KOed because they play a B side.

That's just embarrassing for the comp when teams are getting knocked out because they don't want to play full strength.

I can see the EL being higher now that it is rewarded with automatic CL qualification. United last year and Arsenal this year went/going all out to win it because Top 4 was out of reach.

I still think Domestic League is as big as anything because through 38 matches it removes almost any possible luck and all the teams play each other the same. It's not like some CL winners who have had easy routes to the Final *Cough*Madrid in 2016*cough* and a tougher route to the Final (Barca 2015, Madrid 2017)

I guess it is subjective.

even before the prize of CL qualification, I rated it higher, really used to piss me off listening to English journos slate it as begin beyond shit, mainly due to the fact, they would rather be getting in for free to the Barca or Bayern, than Servette or Rosenberg, there were other factors too, but fans heard or read this, and that image stuck.

I've made this point before and got ....but, but, but......dress it up anyway you want, its a knockout tournament, the best side doesn't always win.

I count them all tbh.

As you should, mate. People who don't get excited about their team winning a cup shouldn't bother watching. I was at the final last year and it was great. Families there together, kids loving the day out and eveyone just excited. Surely that's what football should be about?

Also helped that we beat Chelski for it.
