The wage does seem excessive but Lingard does at least seem like one of the more serviceable squad members. You are very thin on finishers.

I like Lingard as a squad player who gets playing time during an injury crisis, subs in when players need rest, and as a Wembley specialist. He's not the kind of player I think the team needs to be starting during a dogfight for 4th where United has the toughest road.

I understand the case here--it's Sunderland and you've got huge games coming up on Thursday and Sunday.

Nah, I despise Liverpool and City. Chelsea is a slight level below. Arsenal used to be up there until Chelsea got their oil money, then I got a bit more respect for their club--they're the lesser of the evils.
