Not sure they were all top 3 at the time, and ""star players" may rule out some......

In a bit of a debate on twitter, curious for other opinions.

How far down do you think Arsenal could go, long term, with minimal interest in results by its owner? The person I'm debating with thinks they wouldn't get lower than midtable based on Liverpool and Chelsea's bad seasons. I think a cyclical trend could develop where worse results get worse sponsorship deals and lower gate revenues which results in less investment and even worse results. Not a 2-3 years thing, but more like 15-20 years thing. Is Arsenal too big to fail?
 
Arsenal still has great players. They just have no formation, system, strategy. Great players will keep you in the top 10 by the season's end.

They won't do a Leeds.....middle to long term they will be fine. Their days of being the clear #2 team in the country may be over, but they should remain in the top 6.

Being a rich, North London based team means they are probably too big to fail for any amount of time.

Yeah, I'm hoping the trend of the last 3 seasons (realistically out of title contention, aiming for the top 4 by Xmas) doesn't continue!
