Honestly think you can say the same about just about every national team.

They almost all look better on paper than they are in reality. England and Portugal are probably the worst offenders, but if 4-5 players hit a purple patch for a few games, can beat anyone.

Look at France last time. They had an amazing squad, but they were so meh all tournament, imo….and they still won it fairly comfortably when all the other big guns choked.

When was the last time a team took the World Cup by storm and were amazing throughout? Rarely happens, truth be told.
