I might just have been worn down into a state of complete apathy by years of football transfer fee hyperinflation, but do these deals actually seem like okay value?

Wonder what some of 1990s-2000s non-elite English forwards getting 12-15 league goals every year would have fetched in today’s market. Likes of Darren Bent, Jermaine Defoe or Kevin Philips come to my mind.

You're underrating Wissa, bruv. He's a good player; averaging a goal/assist every other game in the PL is solid and he barely misses any games. More than happy to have him as Callum Wilson's replacement.

I think Forest will push for him, though as he can play on either wing and as a striker. I think they need him more than us and Spurs.

Sesko will be silly money and Watkins needs 3/4 chances to score one goal and is older than Wissa.

Mateta is worth a shot but he wont be cheap and he is the same age as Wissa
