Heathrow and Gatwick are 35 miles apart by road.

I was trying to think between which two London airports might one pass The Den, and the only pairs that seemed plausible were

Stansted - Gatwick, and
London City - Gatwick.

Stansted is actually some way outside London, but seems to be accepted as a 'London' airport.

Edit: Gatwick is outside London as well actually, although not as far.
