Little-known fact: Jews weren't allowed to stay at most hotels (only dodgy, seedy ones) until WW2, and a Jewish hotel-resort industry developed in Bournmeouth. Jewish-owned hotels with kosher kitchens observing the Sabbath etc. This scene stayed big until well after WW2, and is still going but is much smaller now.
