Honestly, I'd rather spend (a lot tbf) of my money on having a good time for my 40th birthday with my oldest mates than doing nothing or letting the taxman take away 1€ more than possible. Life in general won't get better from here on if you look left and right... so at least having some cool memories, stories and spending time with your loved ones and people that are important to you. That can't be taken away. Life's too short.

I'm not up for "Oh I'm gonna do this and that in my 60's, there's time left" or anything. That's bs imo. My view these days. For example would've loved to invite my dad for his bday to a Bayern game with some hospitality tickets or something special - that's not possible anymore unfortunately. I should've done that back in the day. Hearing the same from friends or family when I get them a present sometimes "that's too expensive, I'd never ask for such a huge present" - happy when my people are happy, doing alright, being healthy. Anything else is background noise.

Fully agree mate. Otherwise later you’ll wake up one day, lying in a hospital bed all beat up wondering to yourself what in the hell happened.. realising evolution has just passed you by.
