It is but how does it matter? It's not like the fees will go down as long as the sheiks and what not is doping the market.

Paying overs just because city wanted him is a bit ridiculous.

I don't see defenders price tags going anywhere close to what they paid in the next 5 years.

I guess if Liverpool want to spend the money though it's up to them. They did waste 30+ on ox though so I guess considering that this might not be that bad.

Paid more than barca paid for Suarez a few years back... I can't see the logic TBH.

Things are moving fast in this world, real fast.
For example, ManU will have to pay big money for a cripple soon. Won't be surprised to see a similar sum around £80 mil.

I get the price rising but really struggle to see those type of price tags for defenders.

I thought they had rules in place for this shit, how the hell was city making that type of offer anyway.

It's unusual to see these prices for defenders cause usually they don't make a huge difference the way strikers do. In this case, liverpool seems to think he'll do and he actually might.

I wouldn't, prime Marco Van Basten wouldn't make a difference if we had Butland or Lloris in goal instead of De Gea.
