Hammers have only conceded 3 goals in their last 4 & they've played 3 of the top 5 clubs in that span.

Clean sheets in last 2 gm's & their best defender Reid is back from suspension.

Maybe I'm in the minority then. Losing a game or two shouldn't really effect the team's legacy. I'd see getting 100+ points as a greater achievement, for example. Or winning the PL + CL double.

Who do you think is the better signing between Ozil & Sanchez ?

It's a tricky one for me as I rate Ozil the better player but can see Alexis doing better for City under Pep than Ozil would perhaps do for Utd under Mou.

I look at Sterling play & the amount of errors & poor striking of the ball from him is so often truly shocking live during games but he's still only behind Salah on Goals/Assists this season. Alexis has far deadlier striking instincts.

Whereas I look at Mhki & Mata and think would both do so much better under any other Top 6 Manager than Jose.

You mean if United signed Ozil and City signed Sanchez in January? Ozil, for sure. Though I agree he doesn't strike me as someone who'd necessarily thrive under JM. That said with Miki, Mata and Herrera all having meh seasons, I could see Ozil doing well at United.

Neither is the profile of player that I think either club should be going after though, tbh, despite them both being obviously excellent players.

Utd need FB's & wingers who can cross a decent ball onto Lukaku's noggin. Ozil's prolly not that guy. Ask Giroud. He's a wizard on the deck but we've all seen how clumsy Romelu's feet are.

I still think Mhki would do better in Utd's 3-4-2-1 system. Look how well Lingard is doing in it against lesser teams. Jose only gave Mhki two bites in a 3-4-1-2. Not given him one go in the more dynamic & suitable 3-4-2-1. Poor fucker was stuck tryna work trident passing miracles with Valencia & Rashford against 2 of the Lg's top clubs at pressing.

Mhki was stuck with Valencia 's in his passing trident on the right hand side who he can trident with to get the best out of his strengths.

Miki is done I fear. He has fallen out with Mourinho who is a very petty man. Ozil would be a direct replacement for him and maybe Mata, too. Presumably he wouldn't be the only transfer Mou would make in the next couple of windows.

We do need good traditional wingers but there is not many about and Mou would turn them into second FBs. In hindsight Perisic may have been a good buy after all, though it is more the right side where we are weak.
