Christian Eriksen is Barça's 'plan B' if Antoine Griezmann move fails

Barcelona are reportedly looking at Christian Eriksen as a potential plan B, should the Antoine Griezmann deal fail to materialise.

The Blaugrana are in the market for another attacking player during this window, and have their sights firmly set on signing the France international.

However with Atlético Madrid playing hard-ball over his fee, Catalan daily Sport has insisted that the Danish playmaker is also being considered by Ernesto Valverde’s men.

They insist that Eriksen has been on the Spanish side’s radar for some time, and the player himself is keen on a move to Nou Camp.

Prising the 26-year-old away from north London may be easier said than done however, with Spurs unlikely to sell for anything less than €175m.

Any potential deal will have to wait until after the World Cup though, with Eriksen a key member of Denmark’s squad this summer.

FA supports Sterling over assault rifle tattoo

England's Raheem Sterling has drawn criticism for getting an assault rifle tattoo, but the Football Association is standing by the player.

The Football Association has expressed its support for Raheem Sterling after he offered an "honest and heartfelt account" of his reasons for getting a tattoo of an assault rifle.

Sterling recently drew criticism from sections of the media and anti-violence campaigners for his choice to have the likeness of a weapon inked onto his right leg.

In an Instagram post published on Monday, the 23-year-old Manchester City and England player said the image was a tribute to his father, who was shot dead when Sterling was just two years old.

And the governing body appears satisfied with the forward's explanation.

"We all support Sterling and acknowledge the honest and heartfelt account he gave," an FA spokesperson said in a statement.

"He and the rest of the squad are focused solely on preparing for the forthcoming World Cup."

In his Instagram post, Sterling said: "When I was two my father died from being gunned down to death.

"I made a promise to myself I would never touch a gun in my lifetime.

"I shoot with my right foot so it has a deeper meaning."

For American standards, I'm a dangerous fanatic and loon because I'm one of the few that'd support a full repeal of the 2nd Amendment, and even I think this is outrageous.

He had to give an explanation for his gun tattoo? How about "I got it cuz I fucking felt like it and I don't need to give anyone any explanations"

Cancer incidence varies very widely, in Europe alone there is a great diversity in the incidence of cancers between countries.

It has been found that migrants to a new country, after a number of generations will show rates of cancer identical to the country to which they migrated. This is evidence for lifestyle factors causing cancer.

E.g. Greeks moving to Australia soon pick up rates of colorectal cancer similar to Australians.
