Lingard on loan to West Ham, Rojo off on a permanent it seems. I can't see Lingard doing much at WHU to be honest, he'll be back here next season. Hopefully we can get rid of him in the summer.

Yeah, he was decent enough squad player for us by post SAF standards, but he should have gone a year or two ago. Could have done a Phil Neville and had a decent second career after leaving United.....but suspect he'll be more like Nicky Butt.

Indicative of United hanging onto players for too long, really.

What are your opinions on Rashford, Martial and Greenwood, at present?

Martial - I have never seen world-class potential in him. Never. I've always seen him as a good, but not amazing, wide forward. None of the attributes to be a CF for a big club. He's a bit of a one-trick pony to be honest, drift down the left, cut inside, that's about all he offers consistently. Personally, if someone came in with a £60m bid for him in the summer, I would be tempted to sell him and upgrade.

Rashford - generally not good enough at present but at least scores somewhat frequently, compared to Martial. No chance we'd ever upgrade on him, but he definitely is over-rated himself.

Greenwood - hit and miss, but not too worried at the moment. Most of these teenage forwards have the same trajectory - they come in, catch defenders by surprise (who aren't aware of them), look really good then defenders actually start studying footage of them and get familiar with them and they fizzle out a bit.

We've always held onto players too long, MUCH too long in some cases.

Rojo, Lingard, Jones should have been out the door in the summer.......Mata as well, actually.

He's at the Anderson / Phil Jones stage for me. Always liked him and always thought he could of been really good, but this season has been awful. At what point do you write them off.

He's (inexplicably) on 220k p/w so he's going nowhere.

Always thought his ceiling was lower than Martial's, but he's surpassed him on the field this season. He's still been largely poor imo, but he does have the knack of chipping in with a few goals at important times.

He's (inexplicably) on 200k p/w so he's going nowhere......though for some reason he's always linked with big clubs and his reputation is not far off Mbappe and Haaland.

Need's to stop being played solely on the RW. Doing more harm then good. Our lack of options there is laughable. Expect him to be ahead of Rashford in a couple of years.

I wouldn't say always, but definitely in the post SAF era. Would add Matic to that list, too. Probably 2 summers ago for some of them.

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.

The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
