nah, big difference is Messi knows when to take a back seat and is happy with giving the others a chance. He also can still affect the match when he's not scoring goals. He's still an elite playmaker and set piece taker. He doesn't just stand and wait in the box for crosses and throw tantrums when he doesn't get the ball. His teammates actually love him and run through walls for him. CR7 is a selfish egotistical manchild who puts individual honors above what's best for the team at this stage.The question is are they going to force him into their line-up for the next 2+ years like Portugal is doing with Cristiano or just accept they're better off without him and bench him for the next WC if he still wants to play then.
