Crazy how Yamal at 16 already has a higher football IQ than Dumbele who has never changed or improved in almost a decade of top level football.
But just like Bojan, Fati, Pedri and Gavi before him, Spain/Barca cant make use him in 65+ games a season. If they do, his legs will be gone before is allowed to drink in States

Yup, my biggest concern by far with him and any young talent. These teams/countries play more and more as the years go on. Bigger World Cups, now the huge club world cups, nations leagues, useless qualifiers vs. tiny countries, etc... De la Fuente has already fucked over Pedri and Gavi so I have no faith he wont do the same with Lamine.

¡La victoria es nuestra! ¡Gloria a España! 🫡

That Spain team probably beat England tbh.

Four people got the correct score there. I'm back up to fourth on Kicktipp - still find the fact that @Chules is on top rather fishy.🤨
england are dead

To be honest if England win this Slovakia will be kicking themselves for not going after us more in that second half, the most shakey I can ever remember England looking at the back.
The team is top heavy.
We have this discussion at least twice a year, and you’ve explained it to me before, but still mind boggling to me that the second biggest club in Germany (the biggest economy in Europe), who get the highest average attendance in world football, seem to be on the same financial footing as the team in 15th in the Prem.

It’s like the complete opposite to international level. Player for player in the last 50 years, England vs Germany is pretty similar level, yet the Fritz have won about 24 majors and the Tommies have snuck into a couple of semis.

People call it mentality or whatever bollocks. Honestly, to me it’s just one of those weird things that just makes no sense.
The Premier League = the World League
USA about to brutally liberate Uruguay today imo

France relying on own goals and set pieces to win I see
The first team to reach the semis without scoring or conceding a goal in open play. I think they went 488 minutes without scoring one, until this evening.
We're all mutts if you go back far enough. Got a bit of everything in me (enter sex jokes here).

It's like when people claim they are a direct descendant from any random historian figure from 500 years ago. Yeah, you and about 80,000 others. Like Robert the Bruce and Ghenkis Khan both have 10s of millions direct descendants alive today.

I mean George Washington himself was technically British......American Revolutionary War was to all intents and purposes a British Civil War.
Basically, but 11,000 French and 12,000 Spanish soldiers also fought on the American side, plus an unspecified but large number of French and Spanish sailors and natives. 30,000 German mercenaries and 13,000 natives fought for the Crown.
US didn't really overtake Britain as a global force until about 1900, and didn't really stride ahead as the clear #1 until after WW2.
Yeah the US economy surpassed the British ~1890, Germany > UK ~1905 and the USSR > UK ~ 1935.

On balance Spain have been the most impressive side across the tournament. Deserved finalists....weren't in my top 3 faves either so fair fucks.

Over to you, Gareth!
Agreed. Have played the most consistently good football and also a pleasing style. They won the "Group of Death" easily. Beat the second best team of the tourny imo(Germany), beat the best European team of the last decade(France).

Deserved for sure.

But will "Gareths big decisions" bring down the Spanish!?
