Blaydes

He will not be getting a title shot next...DC vs Stipe will happen

After that, Ngannou will fight the winner, if Ngannou beats Rozenstruik, so Blaydes can fight Volkov

If Rozenstruik wins, then he most likely fights Blaydes in a true #1 contender fight, maybe around the same time as DC vs Stipe III

But neither of these scenerios have Blaydes fighting Stipe...unless DC pulls out somehow and Ngannou loses

Chiesa

RDA is on the decline, yes he was ranked, but Chiesa still has to get another win before he fights Colby which winning would get Chiesa a title shot

Chiesa most likely fights the winner of Maia/Burns, then winning that fight would get him an opportunity at Colby
If Maia/Burns doesnt work out...Chiesa can fight Wonderboy

Colby will most likely try to fight Woodley, unless Woodley gets the next title shot with beating Edwards

According to unwritten UFC rules, dull and boring fighters don’t have the right to call anyone out.

Im not excited to see Chiesa fight anyone Boring

If Blaydes wants to wait around for another year and a half for Cormier and Ngannou (assuming he beats Rozenstruik) to get their shots, then they'll probably give it to him. But yes, it's more likely that he'll settle for Lewis or Volkov in the meantime. Maybe even Gane if he continues to rise.

Chiesa ain't getting Covington. I personally think Dana wants Colby and Conor to fight, based purely on the shit talk and the hype. I think this a big reason why Dana wants Conor's next fight to be the Khabib rematch, not Masvidal. If Conor wins, great, but Dana also realizes that's a very, very big if. It would be a loss Conor can walk away from without his stock taking too much of a hit. At that point, I think a permanent transition to WW would be in the books. Conor won't get an immediate shot at Usman/whoever's the champ, and Colby would be the perfect stepping stone. If Conor loses that fight, then it almost definitely won't be in spectacular fashion, a risk that a bout with Masvidal would carry. Chiesa fighting Colby could potentially screw up that plan. He's a bad matchup for Covington, and if he wins, a Mcgregor/Colby fight is off the table, and a Chiesa fight with Conor is much less marketable, again, should Conor fight Khabib and move to WW. There's also a chance that Masvidal wins the strap, in which case, a fight between the old friends would be desirable for the UFC. Again, Chiesa has the potential to fuck up that plan too. He's not getting the match he wants, and will probably have to settle for Maia, Thompson, or the loser of Edwards/Woodley.

Lmao at welterweight, now Chiesa is in the picture let's hope he doesn't climb in the rankings. Imagine the most boring top 5 of any division ever (excluding Masvidal here)
1. Usman
2. Colby
3. Woodley
4. Leon Edwards
5. Chiesa

Chiesa/Covington's very possible IMO. Blaydes definitely not getting a title shot though.

...You think Conor vs. Covington would have better trash talk and more hype, than Conor vs. Masvidal?

I'm surprised Chiesa didn't call out Maia based on his history of fighting faded names.

Maybe he thinks Colby's jaw won't heal. Because no way does he win that fight otherwise.

Should definitely give Blaydes a shot or at least Ngannou. Will they? That's another story

Didn't Colby break his jaw?

He also might switch to WWE, imo and have random UFC fights.

blade i feel bad he never will beat ngannou poor blade he would be champ without francis francis so much better and future champ this year

No way

The way Wonderboy KOed Bigg Rigg was glorious
Only exciting fight he ever put on against a washed up Hendricks

Prime Hendricks would've knocked that boy into a coma

Even with that scenario above, Roz will get the title shot over Blaydes. Pretty much justified by beating the man that destroyed Blaydes twice. The only way to guarantee Blaydes a title shot is if gets past Roz.

Nicely done and agree with most. People sleeping on this heavy fight on March 28th. In fact, its been awhile since I've been looking forward to bad men heavies to fight it out on feet between Ngannou and jairzhino
