another time NOT defending a belt?
I think it's completely likely
Nick Diaz's best win in TEN years was against an undersized BJ Penn that dominated him in the first round and then gassed. He has zero business being in any title picture.
yeah, why the fuck defend a beltClearly people would say this if Conor fought Anthony Joshua.
Who gives a shit about defending the belt? A belt that was just held by Henderson(cant win in Bellator), Pettis(cant beat anybody), Dos Anjos(pulled out against Conor, destroyed by Alvarez), Alvarez (embarrassed back to Bolivia).
My God, the sanctity of the 155 belt will be completely tarnished if the champion fights a bigger, more dangerous man from a different weight class............. and the top contenders have to actually fight each other to prove themselves....................................
yeah, why the fuck defend a belt
<{CMPALM}>
how fighting nick is the same at fighting the WW champ or MW champ? So if Conor wants Woodley at 170 or Bisping at 185, he's a bad 155 champion because he's not defending the belt? What if he wants Cormier?
Why is it so important to you that the champion fights the person that the UFC has told you is ranked 2nd best, in their division?
The reality is, in most cases anybody in the top ten could beat anybody else on any given night. In some divisions, there are contenders that are clearly above the rest, and those guys almost always get their shot. But then there's times when it's not as definitive, and you can have someone like Garbrandt move up to a title shot. And in reality he's just as dangerous and deserving as everyone above him.
But for you, if a guy wants to challenge himself against someone who's considered to be more dangerous than anyone in his division's top ten, he's still ducking. Maybe you're right.. Canelo should just defend the light middleweight title forever and never go up 6 pounds to fight GGG. Now that's how a champion competes.................
Struggled in the 2nd fight? Lol you're a moron . Conor barely broke a sweat and made hamburger meat of nates face plus dropped him what 3-4 times? Lol oh SherdogI doubt Conor will ever fight a real WW that is not the champ.
He struggled with Nate in his second attempt. He would die vs Nick.
