There is also some of dialogues that explain the concept so i'd give it another watch since you did like Memento and Begins right?

I love how Nolan fans love watching his movies just so they can confuse themselves and then go online after the movie searching for fan theories to try to understand the hundreds of parts that didn't make sense just so they can have an AHA moment. They think it's a sign of depth, but it's really just gibberish and very bad storytelling. But it sure makes people want to rewatch his movies so Nolan's quite the genius.

Watching Predator for the first time was one of the best viewing experiences I have had of a movie. I was a kid going over to a friend's house and his bigger brother was about to watch it. I had no idea whatsoever what we were about to watch and it just blew me away.

Nolans films "make sense" but I wouldnt say that a complex plot is really the sign of "challenging" cinema.

His film "made more sense" if you spend more time thinking and reading up about it AFTER the movie, and that's provided you can accept the many logical fallacies in most of the "science" behind it.

IMO, if a majority of viewers walks out of the cinema confused, the movie has failed in it's story-telling.

Memento remains as one of his best films because the suspense built up to the end where everything leading up fell into place.

I remember watching Predator and thinking it was just another war movie and then when the Predator showed up I was like HOLY FUCK THIS IS AWESOME!

Honestly Inception I thought was pretty easy to follow and if anything was over explained.

Yeah, sams here. These days you basically know all plot twists and characters before even seeing the movie. So retarded.

I love how detractors like you pass their subjective and wrong opinions without detailing anything, as a fact.

Just to refresh you something:

Every single one of his movies has been fresh and considered good, by both average critics, top critics and audiences on RT, IMDB and Letterboxd

And many films like Inception, Memento and TDK and Dunkirk can be easily seen in the best film of the decade list. But somehow because "Horc00" doesn't agree, this never happened?

Check out these lists, it pretty much explains why he's a very good director

I like how you claim something doesn't make sense, while it has explanation inside the film, lol.

Inception does have it's logic, structure and themes anyway but the effort of wasting my time explaining them to you, is not here

Three great movies. Jaws is number one for me.

it's a good popcorn movie, up there with Matrix as far as influence and entertainment

but it is JUST an action movie, and a kids one really, it's no Predator or Commando or Die Hard or Lethal Weapon or First Blood etc

I like how you depend on the internet to tell you how much you need to nuthug Nolan just like how you depend on the internet to understand Nolan's films because you can't understand it from watching his films alone.

I also like how you have those links saved in your computer so that you can dig them out anytime someone criticises Nolan on the internet. But you really need to recheck your sources man.

Seems like they changed their minds.

And since you enjoy taking internet rankings as facts, here's a few for your considerations.

Before the internet, there really was no way to watch movie trailers, especially a violent one like Predator.

With Jaws and Aliens, you pretty know what to expect from the movie poster alone.

But with Predator, there was absolutely no way to tell.

It just looks like a generic Rambo/Commando type of movie. And at a time when Arnie was the biggest badass in Hollywood, Predator gave us an alien with dreadlocks and invisibility and shoots freakin' lasers and was the biggest badass in an Arnie movie. I think everyone watching was delightfully surprised.

Jaws all day for me but also love Predator. Tried and failed to watch Aliens on several occasions just seemed to really boring to me. Never got the fascination with it.

Predator

I love that movie. Alien is ok. Jaws is ok. But Predator is a masterpiece.

Lmao, your argument is invalid as usual. I can understand his films and poetic/directing style pretty much well, so i do have knowledge on technical aspects for stylistic choices.

That doesn't apply just to Nolan but also to other directors, i just like how you are making snarky comments because you are not criticizing the product (Inception) or what's put behind the camera (mise-en-scene, scenography, framing, sound editing) etc, lol.

You know that these links prove absolutely nothing as they're not critical sites, neither overrated means someone isn't a good director? I mean Tarantino is up there in the list, but he's actually an all-time great with various great and masterpieces films under their belt.

Anyway, I've checked the links so here's the correct one;

Nobody is here saying Nolan's on par with Kubrick or Scorsese, but he's much better than what you are trying to say. That's for sure.

Being said, I don't have time to waste over this.

Personally, I like Jaws. Probably my favorite movie and it’s just timeless. My dad watched it with me, I watched it with my kids, they’ll probably watch it with their kids one day.
