Leeds United effectively are Leeds City with a name change. City were founded in 1904 then expelled from the league in 1919 for paying players during WW1. Many clubs had done so, but a star Leeds player demanded higher wages, was refused, then grassed the club to the FA. They were kicked out, dissolved, and coincidentally a new but unrelated club called Leeds United was formed shortly after. From memory, feel free to check the details but that should be close.
