Post Punk / Post Hardcore / Screamo / Math Core / Math Rock etc.

I've posted The End a couple times on here, one of my favourite local bands, we used to practice at the same place.

My first band got to play with Red Stripe featuring Steve Watson & Sean Dooley who later went on to form The End.

Red Stripe - Plastic Promises

Red Stripe - Big Square Hole

Insipred to watch these from the SNL thread in this music forum.

At the Drive In on Letterman and Conan O'Brien shows.

can't remember if i posted this before but i love the guitar in this. the whole album is great

I don't quite understand the band Lungfish, they generally structure their songs around only one riff that is repeated and built on over time but I enjoy them.

This Moment in Black History - covering an old funk tune. They changed the lyrics from "Allah Wakbar" to "Barak Obama", ironically of course.

None of their screamo-sounding stuff is on YouTube, they mix it up a lot.

You posted Crestfallen already, but I think it was a different song.

My favoruite Crestfallen song (this is the one that Chris Taylor sings on, I think)

They had an awesome short song (maybe on their demo) that I can't find anymore. It totally sounded like Page 99

Nice stuff, more of an Indie rock/sludge approach, but with elements of punk/screamo.

You might like City of Caterpillar.

You might not like this, but pg.99 have several long songs, where the same riff repeats over and over forever.

@BeardotheWeirdo ya very good song. i only have their s/t album and streaks of terror. not sure if there are more but those two are awesome. love streaks of terror from start to finish. would've loved to see them live

featuring members of The Locust, Charles Bronson, and Antioch Arrow/Get Hustle

Enekphalin (from their split album with Phoenix Bodies)

They have a split 7" with Waifle (who also released that split live album with Pg.99)

I think they released a demo before their first album, there were a lot of pg.99 fans who wanted to hear some new material from their new bands. They had one song with an awesome pg.99 style breakdown but I can't find it anywhere.

@BeardotheWeirdo you ever see the physical copy of holy molar - the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth? it was on one of those TINY discs. i'm not even sure what it's called but it was so damn small i think maybe 3" or something

use to listen to that song all the time lol

that waifle split looks familiar now that i see it. i'll have to check it out again. that enkephalin/pb split was good too

I think they're called 3" mini-discs. The guitar player in my band bought the double 3" cd version of their discography (at the time) It was pretty awesome. I already had the 7" so I never considered buying it. I would've bought the 10" picture disc, but it cost $15 which was a lot for a 10" and the material isn't nearly as good as their 7" (imo)

I'm pretty sure the Neil Perry released a 3" mini-disc too.

I always wanted to get the Hewhocorrupts midi-bracelet release also.

They released a cheap Hewhocorrupts wallet as well, that came with a business card-shaped mini-disc in it, containing their microeconomics ep.

That was their best stuff too, by far (imo)

I love how they worked in parts from old techno songs that were big in the 80's

The Locust released puzzle shaped 7 inches.

I always wanted this LP-sized Ruination 7" as well, shaped like America

This is probably my coolest record

5" records suck though, my record player usually lifts the needle and stops playing the side 3/4 of the way through. I have a Melt-Banana 5" that does the same thing :( They're still cool to look at though

My favourite from their 7"

Another rare Justin Pearson side project. They only released one two-song 7"

I tried finding this one before when I made the other Justin Pearson side-project posts

i don't have any of the mini discs of anything. the 3" my friend had and it always got stuck in regular players. those locust records are cool

hewhocurrupts are hilarious

master of profits lol singer and guitarist wearing suits

I fucking love the breakdown in this song, so dark, creative, and melodic all at one.
