He seems kindda changed (not necesarilly in a bad way) through all his recent TV interviews. I know money would/could turn a guy into a more relaxed, nice version of himself but...could this affect his signature tough attitude toward fighting? I mean, before the fight, with all the trash talk, it was obvious that Nate had a bad blood on Conor. After all the money Conor "has given" to Nate, his feelings toward him could affect his performance and killer instict?
Tough to cultivate a bad blood marketing angle when the other guy has you in adult diapers, ain't it?
There was no 'bad blood' even BEFORE their first fight. They both talked some shit and exchanged some one-liners, but Conor made it very clear he always liked the Diaz bros for the way they fight, and Nate never really took any of McG's trash-talk personal. When asked if he was bothered by Conors smack talk, Nate said, "He's doin his thang." Neither of these guys dislikes the other whatsoever. But come fight time, they both come to throw down.
It's a win-win for Nate. If he wins, huge pay day again. If he loses, huge pay day with a possible rematch with even bigger pay.
This. Conor has toned down his mouth a bit, but I never got the impression that there was really bad blood between them.
A little it seems, this is what Nate said on "Speak for Yourself" "That’s what the UFC did. They pushed his fan base, put all the energy and exposure on him. They (celebrities) should be hanging out with him (McGregor). He’s fighting in a cage, in front of the world, in front of a lot of people. It’s cool he is representing for the people who are putting in a lot on the line. There’s a lot of good coming from fighting. You fight, you win, you do good, everybody loves you. And then you get in there and fight, you lose, and get your head kicked in, and besides it hurting, you get laughed at and people make fun of you, too. So that’s a lot to put on the line.” So it’s cool when big stars and big people come and appreciate that, so he’s doing a good job with what he’s doing."
Even before the first fight and after it both showed some degree of respect. The trash talk, is just part of the bussiness and both men are masters in this "art", each with its own style.
All I know is (Nate is again winning the, I fight like I talk game!!!) Diaz has nothing to loose.. McGregor is acting like a potatoe.
Not sure you understand what 'bad blood' means. It's a long standing feud, where both fighters legitimately hate one-another. This is just some one-liner trash-talk, hyping the fight. These guys had no bad blood between them.
