Media Post KO shots need to be discouraged

All kinds of injuries are ok. But why do it when you know someome is done and give them titanium plates for life in their head. To fullfil your sick desire for blood. Really sick twisted human beings.

Sometimes it's clear they wanna do it on purpose. Mostly it's to finish 100% in the moment. It does happen where athletes do it just to hit the guy more. Dude in the video was racing the refree. He saw the orher guy lay there not able to defend anything. I feel sorry for him cause it broke his face. To me MMA is a sport.

I'm certainly in favor of knees to a grounded opponent and it seems like the rules are slowly softening on that as well, I believe that's a fair compromise IMO.
yeah, I'm definitely for that in some positions; what I'd hate to see is someone's career to get injured from getting knee piledrived/n/?

That's simply the price one has to pay when they're involved in MMA though. Having said that, I think the probability is a lot less than a soccer kick. The KO that Roger Huerta suffered when he fought that one guy (can't remember the name) in ONE FC comes to mind.

Yeah I meant clear finishes. Where was this guy ever gonna recover here. How much time did the other guy have to notice it running at him.
These types of KOs are rare. Usually, we get the guy that goes down hard and is immediately hitting a double on Dan Miragliotta.

They all know when their opponent is unconscious fully. I've never heard a fighter say "I didn't know they were out" in response to followup strikes. Some of them even acknowledge that they knew it was over but defer to the referee to stop it.

A TKO kind of necessarily requires a sustained attack but the fallen tree KOs with extra punches can be prevented. They just have to be aware of the situation.

They have to want it first

Sometimes you need to tap into homicidal agression to win fights, you cant just turn it on and off like a light switch. If you gonna allow hits on the ground, unfortunatley it will happen from time to time if the ref isnt ready.

This is the area of personal fightwrs judgement his moral, etics and empathy characteristics
No ref or rule will be able to enforce that just like prison or death sentence is not preventing crimes from happening

lol

do they now?

Bro there is not alot of thinking in there when your trying to mash someones head in. Literally day in and day out these guys are trained to follow up when someone gets dropped. You dont think "let me see if he's awake" before doing shit.

SMESH.

I try to give the benefit of the doubt when possible. What isn't just due to the adrenaline is probably just the fighter making sure it's over emphatically

Robocop on Hermannson is the most recent example of a guy landing his late shot late enough to say it was practically Sunday by the time it crashed down

lol

do they now?

This one did. Or is he in a bludlust blood rage adrenaline overload primal instinct state. Was he not conscious to see the guy is done. I think he wanted to do this.

The refs just need to do a better job to stop that from happening, it's not on the fighters to stop hitting their opponent until the ref pulls them off

I agree but sometimes the ko is so sudden, the ref cant react in time.
