Liechtenstein has one pizzeria and a strip club.
Iceland has NO strip clubsLiechtenstein has one pizzeria and a strip club.
Korean and Russian ladies?Montreal is the sex work capital of Canada, and possibly North America as well. They have the hottest massage girls I've ever seen.
Thats Estes park (a tourist trap) hopefully fed those starving squirrels.Weird must have been the time we went. I went with my wife to the rocky mountains park and we just happened to see the Tram as we were leaving and decided to get on it. We got on quickly. I don't even think there was a line at all honestly.
What are you on about mate? Calling me a cuck and colonizer in one post? That's a new one.
I noticed there were varying degrees of strictness. Some would run and grab their hijabs when they saw me. Others seemed more relaxed about it. The women who invited me to eat with them didn't put their hijabs back on when they saw me. Maybe they didn't see me as a man lol.
I think I've heard that argument too. There definitely less of a presence of Islam in some areas like Penang. I also sometimes get confused with Indonesia because one of them has an Islamic government and one doesn't. I think indonesia has the biggest mosque in the world in Jakarta (I walked but it and it was like a giant complex) and has the most muslims in the world but their government is secular but Malaysia officially has an islamic government but allows religious autonomy in some regions.Yep, sorry I missed in my wall of text in my first reply that I agrees with you.
Malaysia is definitely more relax compared to Islamic countries in the Middle East. There have been a recent argument if Malaysia is even a Islamic country/state, saw a lawyer argue it's actually not because Federal law can overwrite Islamic law to a certain degree there. The lawyer said that it's the politicians trying to stir emotions for sway voters.
I personally think it's not a Islamic country/state despite Malay being the largest ethnic group there. I believe close to 60% of the population in Malaysia is Malay ethnic group, and slightly over 60% of the population is Muslim. It's significantly lower than what we know as a "traditional Islamic country". But it's really just my opinion.
I think their strictness depends on what state you actually is in. Heck, even East Malaysia which is on Borneo; same land mass with Indonesia, is vastly different from West Malaysia because they are separated by the South China Sea.
Hmmm, I've been to a lot of places, but some memorable ones are:
1) In Iceland, people legitimately believe in elves. So much so, that they actually construct small houses for them throughout the landscape.
2) This isn't location specific, but I have traveled all across Canada visiting indigenous communities for work. I have a habit of going for walks by myself late at night, and on three separate occasions, I was warned about Wendigos. First time you laugh.... by the third time, you decide not to go for your walk.
3) In Punta Arenas in Chile (close to the southern tip of the country), it is so windy that they have ropes between buildings to help people anchor themselves as they walk.
hahaha I dont think they really do, its just a tradition that they keep up.1) In Iceland, people legitimately believe in elves. So much so, that they actually construct small houses for them throughout the landscape.
One story that struck me when I was in there (Malaysia) was that citizens have to register their religion when they get their national IDs. There was a Christian couple who realized they couldn't get legally married because the government accidentally registered the girl as Muslim and it was apparently a huge hassle to change it.
I wonder if kids ever grow up believing in one religion and find out they're actually legally something else as adults.Yep, this is true. They have to register their religion and it stays with them. There was another news where a Indian couple that have 3 kids and the husband converted to Muslim. He converted their three kids as well without the knowledge of his wife. When they got divorced, the wife who got custody of the kids but had to bring this case to Federal court to "unconvert" them. It took very long before it was resolved. It's just those weird stories from overseas. ^^
Some changes in diminished secularization in politics, but overall Indonesia is much more socially liberal than it was 20 or even 10 years ago. Papua conflict isn't really religious, very different from Aceh. That may be changing in Southeast Asia because Saudi Arabia is pouring money into these countries to exert more influence and spreading their version of Islam. They are adopting more draconian laws. Indonesia is basically colonizing it's own indigenous population and trying to turn them Muslim. There is an ongoing conflict in Papua between the Indonesian government and it's indigenous populace that doesn't get talked about.
