Millennials will still be playing video games in the retirement home.
Grandkid: Wow grandpa, you're still playing on screens!? I had my new VR gaming chip implanted last week, it's awesome! You should try it!
Grandpa: Ain't nobody implanting me with a goddamn gaming chip kid

Nope

I played Madden and NBA Live from the early 90s to when I was about 25. Then I had kids, and video games didn't interest as much any more.

Yes, I play this simulator game with super realistic graphics with people around the world. There's a lot of micro transactions though, but you definitely see results immediately. Some games are public, and you get a lot of moochers that don't pay but want to control the game, but you can pay a bit more for a private game where it definitely becomes more intense. The game is called

Really. Why not? Never got into them in the first place? Kids? Marriage?

Yes I edited my post ...

Had kids... Got a job... Less time for myself and my friends were not around as much... I tried playing online but never enjoyed that as much.

I spent about 30 grand over my lifetime on a MUD. Lot of people here won't even know what that means.

I do but far more casually.
I was never into competitive multiplayer.
I'll put a game down and come back to it months later and have to re-learn the controls.

Perfectly acceptable for adults who grew up with video games to continue playing them imo

Boomers dont play em cuz they didnt grow up with them, so they usually suck when they try to play them

Cant compare generations because we grew up with awesome games boomers didn't

For me the answer to this was no until the end of March when Covid had me locked in doors. Now I’m back at er
