Did Holly take what Ronda spent years building up?

There is no doubt that Nate has built an even bigger following since the win but, the loyal fans have always loved him and will continue regardless if he reaches higher heights.
If Nate wins again? Will he then see all the love that McGregor has attained?

Holly? She may have had her moment in the sun but since she just lost to Meisha, I don't think her introverted personality will ever have mass appeal regardless if she gets the belt back....Look at Joanna. How many casual fans even know her?

I also look back at what happened to Iron Mike and Buster....Yes, Buster beat the man of the hour AND received a lot of publicity, including a Sega Genesis video game, which suck big ones! But, as soon as he lost to Evander in 3 it was, Buster who?

Is there any other examples in combat sports where someone has successfully stolen their thunder?

Gonzaga stole mirko's thunder. But he also took his soul which wasn't cool. It took mirko until the third round of a fight in 2015 to get it back.

Yeah. I never have been a fan of Tito but I actually felt bad for him there. I guess Forrest got caught up but it was so obvious that he should have been given his moment.
