Possible Sasquatch encounter happened last night.

Shoo fly.
Sorry I'm just confused. Which pixel am I supposed to be focusing on in that super HD undeniable proof VHS recording video? I'm also confused because you got one camp of BF truthers that say BF is extremely territorial and will yell, telepathically, at anyone near or throw "boulders" at you like basketballs. Yet this one is 30 feet away and doesn't give a single shit about the guy yelling and making noise? Doesn't even try to run away? Are they big mean and scary or are they chill and slow and just misunderstood? I NEED ANSWERS!

Attempting honest discourse with you (with regards to this topic) has proven futile. The second sentence in the above post makes that clear yet again (I never said it was undeniable proof, that's just you misrepresenting my position so you can act like a jerkoff).

So stop trying to be a pest and kindly fuck off. There's no reason for us to go back and forth.

I'm a firm believer, and I do not agree with your assertion. I don't think it should convert anyone, but should be considered by those interested in the phenomena as potentially authentic.

Props to you for at least saying it's disputable, as that's a good position to take.

Well, i've seen some of those youtube videos of less than expected shit..

Sometimes the only conclusion they come to is that as far as they can gather the video has not been tampered with while they expose other videos as totally fake..

I don't think everything is the wind.. that is as strange a stance to have as believing in everything..

woooooooooooow, not a good look when your only response to someone asking legitimate questions about the fantasy you engage in is "fuck off"

like going to a priest and asking "but how do you know god is real?" and he responds with OH FUCK YOU AND FUCK OFF IF YOU DONT HAVE FAITH DONT BRING YOUR BULLSHIT QUESTIONS AND LOGIC AROUND HERE

A basketball sized rock has to be about 50 or 60 lbs. Did you happen to see the arc the rock traveled? Perhaps this would help judge the distance the rock was thrown. I realize this is likely difficult when boulder are being lobbed at you by a Hill Giant.
If you had to judge, would you guess the misses were intentional or unintentional?
Based on my expereince lifting equipment of all sizes that weight around 50-70lbs, I'd say a basketball size stone/rock will weight more than 50-60lbs.

I can explain my beliefs on those...

I believe there's likely life in the universe outside of our planet. If it exists here using the most common elements in the universe and our planet has conditions that aren't extraordinary than the odds are that life is probably a fairly common occurrence in the universe. I'm sure there's basic life and there's intelligent life. I'm sure there's life that used to exist and life that will exist. I do not believe any intelligent life is travelling here though. Is it possible? Sure, I guess so. I just don't think it's likely and I don't find any of the stories of UFOs to be very credible. The universe is too vast and conditions for life too common to think we are alone. I just don't think there's crashed ships in Roswell or UFOs abducting people and experimenting on cows. I think if humans survive long enough to reach out into the different solar systems of our galaxy that we are likely to eventually find something we would call aliens, intelligent or basic life forms.

I don't believe in ghosts. I don't think there's any biological reason for the human consciousness to exist apart from our brains creating one through complex chemical reactions. I think we we die, we just die. The nothingness that you felt for billions of years before birth will be the same nothingness that we feel after death. I'm fine with that. I don't believe in the idea of a soul that exists within us. We are just biological organisms with complex brains. No different than any other animal with a brain, just a little more intelligent to create more complex society. Chimpanzees and other apes act very similar to us on a more basic level of complexity.

I would absolutely be shocked if there's a giant bipedal monster ape roaming the woods of America because logic and common sense simply dictates that it's incredibly unlikely. If we were still finding other giant mammals roaming the woods of America, there would be some sort of precedent for other species to be discovered but there's simply not. The likelihood of Bigfoot existing in the wild is less likely than us finding tigers or polar bears roaming the woods of Virginia, and we know those species exist.

I'm a believer in science and scientific scrutiny. If there's reasonable scientific evidence for something that can't be dismissed then I'm happy to believe it. I have no reason to deny a bigfoot creature exists other than the find that I don't find any claims for its existence to be credible. If said evidence was credible, I would be happy to admit a real possibility.
You believe there's likely life outside our planet, yet don't believe they could be visiting us?

I understand you might want proof and scientifically backed up etc etc....

But how many ex military personal speaking out and credible eye witness testimonies does it take to make you believe?

You call my position fantasy, misrepresent my stance on the video I shared by insinuating I provided it as a form of "undeniable proof", and I'm supposed to humor you with legitimate responses? That's rich.

Again, shoo fly. No more attention for you today. Maybe next time, as I'm sure you'll be pulling my pant leg again sometime soon.

I try not to let the conclusion of others sway me too much. I'll consider anyone's analysis if it's done well enough, but I still refrain from regarding any video capture as obviously authentic, despite being a believer.

Video isn't supposed to convince anyone, but it can be a valuable source which opens the door to further investigation - which is see as something warranted, should one be interested in the topic.

Yea, just about every day to some degree (hunt, hike, work, etc.). I live in a region where the creature could potentially reside (there's been reported sightings), and there's even a local organization that does research (although I'm not affiliated).

I conduct my own personal field research from time to time, and I talk to a lot of hunters and woodsmen about the topic. I bring it up in conversation often because I've found that when you're willing to put yourself out there, people will open up and confide in you about what they've encountered in the woods. Otherwise you'd likely never get it out of them, as the potential for stigmatization and ridicule is a strong deterrent.

Some hunters will laugh at you, but others won't at all.

I don't believe there's credible evidence of them visiting Earth. Is it in the realm of possibilities? Sure. Just like a unknown American tiger/lion population hiding in the woods is in the realm of possibilities. I just don't find it to be very likely given the evidence put forth.

As someone who is former military, I don't find that association to lend any more credibility to eyewitness testimony than that of a redneck farmer.

Neil D. Tyson's opinion pretty well fits mine on that subject. I don't think military or pilots give any credibility to their claims. They are subject to the same fallacies and mistakes as anyone else.

The biggest example of this is the Chilean Navy UFO sighting that got a lot of news. Simple research turned up the fact that it was a simple passenger plane on an identified route. That tricked their Navy and half the planet believes it was a UFO. Our military and pilots are subject to the same errors in observation. I want something that is tangible. Clear video. Clear high resolution photos. Physical evidence. Until then, I'm skeptical. Human perception systems are highly flawed.

This is my experience also. If you are willing to open up about it then others are too but some people will laugh at you.

Its surprising how many people have had an encounter though.

It is. Thousands come forward, but one has to assume that the real number of witnesses is significantly higher. They're just hesitant and apprehensive due to the propensity for weaponized ridicule

I obviously couldn't care less about being laughed at by fools, hence my continued involvement in threads like this.

That said, I want to be clear that compulsive liars will be keen to play along too (and might make up a story just for the sake of feeding their compulsion/ need for attention), and I'm always acutely aware of that possibility when hearing someone speak out about their experience. But it's illogical to assume that every person who speaks up is of that cloth, especially when you know some of them personally. They're a small percentage, if anything.

It is surprising how many people have encounters yet we still can't get anything solid beyond stories and videos that have worse quality than D-Day footage storming the beaches. Almost like a bunch of people are just making up crazy stories instead of factual encounters.

I remember this one time I saw a tiger in the woods. Got a good photo of it...

Another time I saw the rare American elephant but it started throwing trees at me so I didn't get a photo. The next week I went out here to go fishing because I figured it left. Brought my BB gun just in case.

Now don't you weaponize ridicule towards my story.
