Possible Sasquatch encounter happened last night.

@nhbbear I don’t know you, but I’ll take what you said at face value. I’m not a Bigfoot “believer,” but I’m very open to the idea of that particular cryptid. What you described sounds like classic behavior reported by others. Sorry that happened to you, but very intriguing. I would’ve been scared shitless.

Scared me more than when i was shot at. Felt completely helpless, mostly because I just had back surgery, but there was nowhere to go and as I tried to run, I just kept expecting just one rock to hit me. That’s all it would have taken because of the size of them.

Rock throwing is common behavior with regards to Sasquatch encounter reports. It's reasonable to consider this, based on the story told, to be such an encounter.

I just listened to this story at random the other day. Lo and behold, it included rocks being thrown (less aggressively, granted, but still thrown nonetheless).

Chimps also do it. I don't know anything about portals or beings coming from within them, or much about poltergeists. But I do know quite a bit about the Sasquatch phenomena, and this story fits the phenomena. Perhaps it wasn't a Sasquatch, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if it were.

when i read the portal thing above, i thought of vine delorias story of the buffalo, that they came out of the earth all at once, he insisted that this "legend" was not symbolic but literal. as far as sasquatch, ghost, ufos we don't know much about anything, most people are told what to think and don't venture far out of that at many points in their lives. these threads will always attract guys like mr. six four mma fighter who insult everyone, always. Part of that is just, as people, there always seems to be a natural inclination for groups to form at least some dissenters. you'll see it on any subject though, if you get a group of folks who are discussing something in a certain way, someone always has to come and dispute the consensus. Just human nature. Look on any forum on any subject and you'll see this. someone has to be contrarian. but this particular subject really seems to bring out the false arrogance in people.

Haha! This thread is great..

I'm not a big foot believer, however i wouldn't be all that surprised if i met one..

Today there is really no proof that would be accepted either.. photography/sound - clearly fake and gay! Etc..

I don't think authorities would be very interested in going transparent on it.. knowing human nature we'd probably make ash trays from their hands and crush their balls into viagra powder.. heavily armored poachers doesn't sound like anyones wet dream..

There is pretty good proof that would be accepted. Just look at the photography available for literally any authentic critically endangered species. There's still thousands of high resolution photographs and videos available from countless sources. On top of that, there's actual bodies found of those critically endangered species when they die. Of all of the excuses that people make for why Bigfoot can't be found, none of those excuses apply to any other species on the planet where there are barely even 100 left in the wild. The Amur Leopard only has like 60 left in the wild and people have tons of high quality photos. Literally only like 3 jaguars crossed into the United States from Mexico and we immediately had high quality photographs of them within a few weeks.

All of the excuses people make for bigfoot just don't make sense. No good high quality photographs or video. Can't name another species in North America that large which was only recently discovered (and not talking a new regional subspecies of a previously known species, a completely new species). No bodies or bones. No nesting sites. Nothing. There's just as much evidence that Tupac is in Cuba with Biggie as there is for Big Foot. With the frequency of sightings in close proximity to humans and known ape behaviors, there's zero biological reasons to assume we should have issues finding this animal. Even the most reclusive animals on the planet are found with relative ease after decades of dedicated biologists looking for them.

I would just say this. When I ask when the last time we discovered a 100+ lb animal roaming the woods of the United States that we didn't previously know about, nobody can point to the last 100 years and say we found X. The only animals we are finding today are subspecies of animals we already know about and incredibly small animals like insects and small animals in isolated ecosystems. When was the last time we found a new monster sized creature in the PNW if it's so "unexplored"?

When it comes to people selling snake oil and bullshit, there's always some convenient excuse for why their situation is so different than everyone else.

effin JarHeads, ruining the fun...don’t you have some general orders to memorize?

They aren't, which is something that becomes rather evident once one delves deeply into the phenomena. When one is willing to accept the possibility that a coverup is taking place, the realization that the creature is extant becomes much more palatable, because the available evidence can then be given a more objective assessment.

Seems they're not even very keen on releasing information on missing persons in national/state parks and such, this made clear by the Missing 411 documentary and research. David Paulides is adamant about being stonewalled while attempting to file FOIA requests for said information. They also limit and control trail camera usage by civilians, as they're classified as installations.

Not all video is obviously fake and gay, BTW.

While perhaps not the best quality, you cannot just say the above is obviously fake unless you're already firmly a nonbeliever.

Well apparently 3/6 Marines don't know their General Orders.

<{ByeHomer}>

And lol at that Paul Freeman video @BearGrounds just posted. If that doesn't look exactly like a man in a bigfoot costume, I don't know what is. Dude can barely even walk through the brush with that suit on and that's supposed to be some mythical creature that lives in the woods. Never seen a biped that has to stare at the ground so hard not to trip over itself. Look at real apes moving through the thick jungle and how fluid they are. Only an idiot who's dressed up in a costume is stomping through light brush that clumsy. And only a bigger idiot would believe that's authentic footage.

There'sh no shuch shing ash a shashquash. 'Sha shientifick fack. T'sh all a buncha shupernatural hooey.

While you are absolutely right i saw your argument on traveling beyond our solar system.. i seem to recall you saying anyone not believing in us surviving this planet was negative and lacked imagination..

Traveling beyond our solar system requires traveling faster than light, ie bending time more or less..

Do you believe in aliens? If you're considering space travel you should be pretty open to alien activity.. are all those claiming alien sightings also absurdists?

Why are there no alien bodies? Etc..

Ghosts?

God?

I'm just saying an absolute adamant stance on things like this is ill fitting on a reasonable person as we actually don't know..

With that said, i'm not believing in either of these but it's not like i'm gonna be shocked if there's actually a giant bipedal animal walking around in the woods..

I wouldn't spread the gospel of big foot but more like "damn, those guys were actually right.. that's hilarious"..

Like i said.. obviously fake and gay @BearGrounds

People see what they want to see..

I don't see bog foot.. but i also didn't see the guy taking of the suit and have a beer laughing it up with the guy behind the camera..

Ie it's not obviously a big foot and it's not obviously a guy in a suit..

Your first and last sentences don't jive.

Your last sentence is reasonable, the first isn't. But you can't say both, as the last invalidates the first.

Nothing followed you and nobody was on that hill. You've contradicted your story several times. If it followed you then you already said you would have heard anything small moving up there. So nothing could have followed you.

Lol you want to look at my body you homo? If you want to know how big I am, I'm 6'4 and 250lbs. I'm a former Marine machine gunner, bouncer, powerlifter, and I've been doing various fighting sports for about twenty years. All of that I've been consistent in detailing across my post history since I've been here. If you really need to see a photo of me to grasp this concept that I'm not afraid of calling a small washed up cop a pussy then you'll have to wait for me to get off work. You are a pussy by the way.

Yeah it existed a hundred thousand years ago you fucking clown. It's as ridiculous as me suggesting mammoth are roaming the woods and they only died out a few thousand years ago. You might as well be saying because there used to be tyrannosaur at some point, you think a population survived in West Virginia.

You fucking suck at this thing called logical reasoning.
Jesus fucking christ dude what the fuck is your problem. Go away.. see a therapist or something mister big bodybuilding marine tough guy..

I can explain my beliefs on those...

I believe there's likely life in the universe outside of our planet. If it exists here using the most common elements in the universe and our planet has conditions that aren't extraordinary than the odds are that life is probably a fairly common occurrence in the universe. I'm sure there's basic life and there's intelligent life. I'm sure there's life that used to exist and life that will exist. I do not believe any intelligent life is travelling here though. Is it possible? Sure, I guess so. I just don't think it's likely and I don't find any of the stories of UFOs to be very credible. The universe is too vast and conditions for life too common to think we are alone. I just don't think there's crashed ships in Roswell or UFOs abducting people and experimenting on cows. I think if humans survive long enough to reach out into the different solar systems of our galaxy that we are likely to eventually find something we would call aliens, intelligent or basic life forms.

I don't believe in ghosts. I don't think there's any biological reason for the human consciousness to exist apart from our brains creating one through complex chemical reactions. I think we we die, we just die. The nothingness that you felt for billions of years before birth will be the same nothingness that we feel after death. I'm fine with that. I don't believe in the idea of a soul that exists within us. We are just biological organisms with complex brains. No different than any other animal with a brain, just a little more intelligent to create more complex society. Chimpanzees and other apes act very similar to us on a more basic level of complexity.

I would absolutely be shocked if there's a giant bipedal monster ape roaming the woods of America because logic and common sense simply dictates that it's incredibly unlikely. If we were still finding other giant mammals roaming the woods of America, there would be some sort of precedent for other species to be discovered but there's simply not. The likelihood of Bigfoot existing in the wild is less likely than us finding tigers or polar bears roaming the woods of Virginia, and we know those species exist.

I'm a believer in science and scientific scrutiny. If there's reasonable scientific evidence for something that can't be dismissed then I'm happy to believe it. I have no reason to deny a bigfoot creature exists other than the find that I don't find any claims for its existence to be credible. If said evidence was credible, I would be happy to admit a real possibility.

Dude.. i'm just saying to a sceptic it's obviously fake and gay, demonstrated by mr garner..

To a firm believer it's firm proof that should convert any non believer..

I'm saying it's disputable.. ;)

Best thread ever. Did you guys have a good Christmas ? I’m glad we are shifting to space .. what about Bigfoot in space ?

I'm a firm believer, and I do not agree with your assertion. I don't think it should convert anyone, but should be considered by those interested in the phenomena as potentially authentic. That alone can open the door and allow one to examine the available evidence more clearly.

Props to you for at least saying it's disputable, as that's a good position to take.
