Elections Portugal braces for snap election as far right advances

Are you saying they wouldn’t have improved on their own a couple hundred years? Who knows what would have happened. But I’d take my chances over decades of rape and murder and loss of culture.
This is an interesting argument, because it’s worth considering, for example, the Australian Aboriginee.

Consider their level of technical developement when contacted by outside cultures. They hadn’t just been outpaced by the era of sail, they’d been outpaced by the era of archery.

How long exactly do you think it would have taken for them to get there? If they had of been left entirely alone, do you think they’d have alloy metallurgy by now?

Who woulda thought centuries of colonialism would have downstream consequences.

Muslim arabs are the biggest colonizers. Not only did they started the African slave trade but they also started the European slave trade. The crusades was a reaction to Islamic invasion into Europe.

In Portugal, If the central right party sets up a government with the socialists, then that is the biggest fuck you to it’s own voters. More people combined voted for the central right and far right than they did with the left. The population obviously wants a change. The far right party in Portugal isn’t even far right. Andre Ventura is basically the Portuguese equivalent of Donald Trump.

Same energy with the Portuguese news agencies calling him a fascist and anyone that supports him is a racist. He just speaks uncomfortable truths that gets the woke triggered.

It worked out so well the last time Europe was swept up by right wing nationalism.

Portugal, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Netherlands, etc. All gaining hard with right wing voters and support. Seems all the right had to do really was let the left be the left.

The pendulum always swings back, it was inevitable. The left have pushed too far and forced many centrists closer to the right.

That's true, there is always eventually swing. But to see it spread it like this in many different western nations is quite fun.

Another spectacularly moronic tastaylvr post. A rich tradition for you.
Why is it stupid ?

Those countries benefited from being next to supper powers lol

Europe was a hole before Rome invaded lol

Literally what? How poor is your historical knowledge?
The Portuguese defeating the Ottoman Empire to control the seas to establish the first global trade to Europe with their empire was vital for Europeans. Not sure what he’s smoking.

The world reserve currency has literally been rotating around Europe, from the Netherlands, to France to Spain stretching across the 14th century and forward due to the whole continents colonizational expansionary and trade efforts.

You portugese?

I would love to visit Portugal one day. Besides the city, I would love to see the Algarve and the outer islands like Madiera and the Azores.

So the center right is forming a coalition government. Will it offer concessions to the far right or some cabinet appointments? Will the far right participate in governing or just wall-and-stall until the next election?

Stews? Cassaroles? Grills?

You just named Greece & England, now you start talking about Rome. You are legitimately retarded. lol

I know why you get mad in these conversations because you love the "European dominance" label while your country itself has as much achievements as the people you look down upon. It hurts you to your soul.

You never did get around to telling me what your background is. You obviously don't speak English as your first language. Where ya from?

Anyway, to respond to your stupid comment... you first brought up England & Greece... then switched to Rome. You're all over the place. Stay on topic, buddeh.
