Pornstar Faye Reagan is missing

I can't post the link for some reason but you can Google it. She was last seen at a shitty area in Vegas. Someone claiming to be her sister posted an RIP message on social media then quickly took it down. It doesn't sound good. Sad, she was one of my favorites back in the day. I've heard she lives out here but apparently she has been homeless and addicted to drugs for awhile.

That is 1 crack ho off the streets, good riddance.

That's a pretty authoritative statement that seems to chalk it all up to personal moral failure without much substantiation, it also goes directly against medical consensus and neuroscience. If you'd create a pie chart taking into account all the factors that play a role in addiction, heritability/neurology, psychology, environmental factors, and mindset, then mindset would generally be the smallest part, so the scenario that mindset would even be larger than the sum of all those other factors is pretty outrageous. Biological factors alone can roughly account for 50% of addiction. Mindset should also not be conflated with psychology, they're not the same. And lots of high-performing individuals suffer from addiction; they couldn't have achieved the position they were in without willpower and discipline.
I don't think we're disagreeing, as "mindset" would certainly be related to those factors. Your environment, upbringing, and your DNA are gonna definitely have an effect on how you think. Ultimately, I'm just saying that not everyone who tries crack or meth or any of the other highly addictive "not even once" drugs, are gonna get hooked.

Then it seems to me you were actually referring to behavioural outcomes. Mindset seemed to imply weak people just needed to man up, so that term kind of threw me off.

Horrific. We should ban all pornography and save the women and the weak men before it's too late.
In short order all porn will be AI, completely realistic and tailored to you specifically in ways reality never could.

Like with most drugs, it starts with experimentation. Not everyone is gonna get hooked. Plenty of casual drug users out there that can keep it under control. Look at all the busted ass alcoholics out there, yet drinking is still basically a right of passage into adulthood once you become of age. Addiction for the most part, comes down to mindset.
Mindset and genetics.

I hardly do hard drugs anymore but all my friends still do during big parties. They'll have the coke in the back, mushrooms, pain killers, etc. No one's addicted to anything.
Seems more you are highly delusional about your friends. Thousands of drug addicts that have a job. Look at how the opioid crisis started . With doctors overprescribing for financial profit and getting people addicted that at no point in their lifes even wanted to get into it and had a grounded normal life. Opioids destroyed them and many of them were "strong minded" people.

Now with Nitazene esp. and the new opioids You d be addicted in a relative short time if you gave that a try. I am not talking about mushrooms but even there and with weed we see a lot more people ending in psychiatric hospitals, because there is a higher probability inducing psychosis or other mental illnesses and thats not something you can counter with a strong mind. One time the wrong dosage or reaction of your brain and you are fried and that probability has been going up steadily.

But all drug users downplay the addictive part of drugs. It gives them a sense of control and security that doesnt really exist.

I can see this to some extent. I also can see "real" porn gaining more value in some ways as well. Either way, two markets that'll do a lot of damage on society imo.

She was genuinely absolutely beautiful. This is why that whole 'sex work is real work' movement is so fucking dumb. She didn't need porn, she needed therapy and a job at Applebee's.
if sex work is real work, then so is selling drugs if you want to be logically consistent
