it will require a HLS extension but it never lags or drops

This is an interesting approach. I gave it a try and got a m3u8 link, installed an HLS extension into Firefox, and tried to play the link but it can't connect. Have you found that some sites work and some don't?
I wonder if some of the site owners are keen to this workaround and add authentication or something to prevent direct streaming like this.

Exactly. If I could pay a subscription of like $15-20/mo but get all PPV/FN/Slap Fighting access, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
