Mediocre.

• The main event was very entertaining, but it was a sham title fight between guys who would be (and have been) besmirched by the top 4 in the division.
• It had a couple good fights (O'Malley-Song and Silva-Allen).
• A clearly washed Lewis quitting against Waldo means nothing to me.
• Rose-Natalia and Umar-Figgy were about as "meh" has meh can get.

If Gaethje-Paddy wasn't such a fun (but sloppy) fight, I would have voted for "sucked."

I voted mediocre because of the pacing. I honestly expect the UFC to become increasingly mainstreamed, which combines things long term fans like with things long term fans won't like.

Oh, I don't know what PPV is like through cable tv or whatever, but on fight pass whenever a stream ends you can immediately rewatch it. I assume it was the same for PPV streams. It was for prelims and fight night cards. Can't imagine why it would be different for the PPV ones.

I think the only time you couldn't watch an older stream at any time was if they had been editing it and were taking down the full one to re-upload. A lot of them they take filler out.

Oh dang is that back? Years ago that was one of the best things about Fightpass.

Garbage. Fights cancelled, slow as shit, most of the good fights were the first fights of the pre-lims, and unpenalized fouls ruined the main event for me.

Mediocre overall. Ads and pacing were awful. No more walkouts or corner work shown? It's like UFC is trying to see how they can make the viewing experience of MMA worse. The card was mid, fun main event, but highlight was by far Silva-Allen.

I tried watching the prelims live for a while but way too many commercials. But then when I watched it later Paramount+ has a God awful fast-forward feature. Quite a pain in the ass on both the UFC and Paramount sides. That said, this is the first full card I've watched in damn near 10 years. The PPV prices were ludicrous and the ESPN deal added insult to injury. To echo most people's sentiments, I'll take this for the convenience and the price.

@HHJ, did you catch that part during the broadcast where Anik was talking about unlocking the UFC vault or something like that? Is Dana going to do what Vince and the WWE did on Peacock and make EVERY fight available on Paramount+? If that's going to happen, I'm going to change my tune very quickly. I saw they put up some old Chuck and GSP fights and I watched Chuck/Randy II. It was cool as hell seeing that in HD quality on my 4K TV without having to deal with Fight Pass. If they put the entire UFC library on Paramount+, I'll shut up immediately.

And when I used to pirate cards back in the day, prelims were up and ready to watch before the main card ended. Main card only took like 30-60 mins to be up once it was done too. That was years ago. Probably quicker now.

He's talking about numbered events (formerly PPVs).

You could definitely not watch those next morning, that would eat into PPV revenue. Usually it was about 3 or 4 weeks before a numbered event was added to fight pass.

One of the good things is actually being able to watch the Paramount cards immediatley after, if you've missed it. I rewatched it this morning. That is a fuckin cool addition if you are busy and cant watch it live.

That's actually great and helps with pacing since you can fast forward all the studio B.S

Yes, there's tons of room for that.
I noticed they already trying to put up a bunch of "classics" on there. Plus the hype videos for the upcoming events is def helpful too.

A chunk better on paper than on broadcast. Poor overall after the early prelims. The middle three main card fights were absolutely horrible, pretty fucking bad, and bad; the bread on that shit sandwich was fun but uninspiring. The last two prelim fights were distinctly disappointing. Of those seven fights, only the main event exceeded expectations, but while it was a good watch, it was not up to the skill standards expected for a championship fight.

If you don't buy it, then yeh, it'll show up for free a few weeks later.

If you actually buy it, you can definitely watch it the next morning. It would be fucking dumb as hell if you couldn't do that.

I thought it was actually pretty perfect for a 1st paramount card with several million more new or casual fans than PPVs. The WMMA fight was a complete stinker, but I already knew that in advance so I flipped over and watched the Australian open during that one anyway, and O'Malley/Song wasn't great, but Allen/Silva and the main event were perfect for keeping new fans wanting to watch more, and the HW fight was a finish.

Maybe the best thing about Paramount instead of the totally legal streams I usually watch is that when the WMMA fight they still feel the need to put on every PPV is on, you can go back and watch or rewatch any of the previous fights instead.

I'd say good. Krylov got a win, the main event wasn't bad. Definitely room for improvement but initially a much better user experience over ESPN.
