It's only fair to the women to give them the same chance as the men, and the girls have produced some good/great fights on occasion. Likewise, the men have produced some real duds, too.
If you look at it from a business perspective, two of their best television ratings in history were Fox cards headlined by women. Ronda Rousey, a female was also one of their biggest stars and draws of all time. There's more than enough reason for them to keep WMMA around.
Yes. Nothing at all wrong with it although they added too many divisions before they had the talent to fill them. I think bantamweight and featherweight should be combined to 140
For me wmma has more or less the same issues as mma, a lot of boring decisions, but some nice fights every now and then.
The biggest difference is that we will not see an amazing fight like RDA vs. Lawler in wmma yet in the upcoming years, but they'll get there, I hope.
On the other hand it's rare to see exciting fights just due to reckless/lack of technique in MMA, that still happens in WMMA and in the end mma is just entertainment for me, so fuck it, I like.
I'd say I like more WMMA than watching DJ vs. anyone at his division.
