Its a lot better without crowds, for me (or with japanese crowds, usually much more quiet)
You can hear the strikes, the coaches, the breathing...

I like the best of both worlds.

Excellent post.

I enjoyed it, but there's certain points (ex. Gaethje vs. Ferguson fight) where I feel like a crowd would be so much better because they'd be going nuts.

It'd also be great if there were a lot more audiences like the Japanese

I like it, it didnt make a lot of difference to me, boring fights with crowds are still boring without it and entertaining fights are still entertaining with or without crowd. That being said, some fights NEED a crowd, Justin/Tony being one of those. It was a great fight, but something was definitely missing because of the lack of crowd.

I definitely prefer it, the crowd doesn't do anything for me at all, and I like hearing everything clearly, the shots, the corners, etc, would probably prefer no commentators as well, or if they talked a lot less, I get why people enjoy the other way though, personally when the fight is on I just want to see the fight and not hear any bs

As some other posters have said, there have been some benefits of no crowd, such as hearing the sounds of the fight, corner chatter, etc. It’s cool for a change and I haven’t minded it, considering the circumstances. At the same time though, there is a level of weirdness and awkwardness to it, like we are watching some underground fight ring or something. Some big fights just won’t feel right under that environment. There’s a sense of excitement and dare I say....normalcy to an event that a crowd brings, even when you are sitting and watching at home. The first event back with a crowd will be nice.

I love it. Hearing the strikes, the fighters and the corners adds a whole new element to viewing. I have enjoyed these events more than most in the last year or two.

When the 'no crowd' thing started I wasn't sure if I'd like it. Now I enjoy it because you can hear the fighters and their corners better. What's your view?

Should be a it doesnt matter much either way choice id pick that

Hard to choose to be honest

I just like watching fights, I could care less one way or the other.

I'm surprised at the number of "yes"'s. I do appreciate hearing the corners and the foley-expert-esque punch and kick sounds, but I can't see how anyone thinks that outweighs the ambiance of a live crowd. To me the covid-fights seem sterile.

Yes, but I also like watching fights with a crowd.

The question doesn't ask if you prefer no audience over having an audience.

Its ok but its better with fans clearly

An excited crowd brings an epic feeling to the atmosphere, but sherdog is full of fucking hipsters who want to look more intelligent than the people who actually can afford a ticket.

No crowd fights is better than no fights tho

Sort of reminds me of TUF, I enjoyed it because you can hear as people have said the corners, the strikes, everything. When Francis did what he did to Jairzinho was scary partly because there was no reaction from a crowd. Just silence as he laid there brutally knocked out, Big Dan holding him

One thing I enjoy a lot, I don't have to listen to drunk assholes yell 'WOOOOOOOOO' and boooo at every point in the fight. Joe, DC and Anik are the crowd to me. Those guys entertain me enough, they seem to be the 3 best right now.

In the end, I like both, but watch Conor vs Diaz 1 and tell me that crowd doesn't bring an incredible amount of adrenaline, and Joe, DC and Anik work off the crowd.

I wonder if Joe's screaming about strikes (hits, grazes, misses etc) are affecting the judges' scoring more now than when the crowd noise drowns it out.

I still like watching the fights but prefer it with a crowd
