Why are people surprised? This was very predictable

I am bored by politics so I haven't been following the election much until today, but wasn't Trump a big underdog and worth a big bet if you thought he could win?

I repeatedly argued with people like @Oblivian about this point. I said Clinton is a candidate of historical weakness. I said the Democrats made a huge mistake in nominating her.

I think its more about the population in America, the vast majority think a certain way and he said the right things to them

Yea, I've been on Trump for a few months but from time to time I've questioned myself a bit. Not enough to hedge until Hillary was +200 or so where I took the biggest freeroll of my life, but still. @waiguoren on the other hand has been on Trump the whole time and I think he needs some credit for that.

He took a lot of shit for his opinion and he was proved right on a big underdog. I'm proud of my bet, but his stance on this has been far more impressive. Sometimes his tone has been a bit harsh, but not as harsh as some randoms coming in her to flame him every time Trump's odds spiked.

As someone who thinks Trump is the worst thing ever for US, it is surreal to see people celebrating him winning to make a few $$$ (no offense).

It'd be like this thread in the 1940's and people saying I know it doesn't look good for Nazi Germany but I think there is real value in them winning the war at +400. I'm hearing they are close to developing a new super weapon(s), lol. I'm freerolling my earlier bet on the Allies.

It is just weird to see a betting thread on the future of the country is all. ugh. Hopefully I'm wrong on Trump.

Thanks bro but I didn't bet much money on this. Had a $50 bet at evens with my mom (hardcore Clinton supporter), $30 on NOT Hillary +170. Had a couple of sig bets. Won them all.

Never had a politics BR before. I think I might create one after seeing so many profit opportunities this cycle.

Well obviously I disagree with you. If I were super concerned about a Trump presidency I wouldn't celebrate.

What u just said is why I basically blew up in this thread. I just had enough of the constant attacks on some of us in here for opinions. I do apologize for going overboard

Congrats to those that made money and I'm sorry for anyone who lost money. I hope most hedged at least most of their Hillary bets.

Going forward I think the media is gonna fan the flames of what will be a snap market correction. Don't fall for it. Buy the big dip.

I do think metals could shine for awhile because there is a chance the whole trade issue freaks out currencies

As much as I dislike Hillary because I believe she is a true NeoCon and her meddling in the Middle East has caused countless deaths. I would never equate her to Nazi Germany.

the peso could go to 22/1 in panic selling. i got lucky with trump and have held off on major construction purchases for a condo complex i am building in mexico

gonna spend around 30k tommorow hoping to save about 100k in pesos

Oh yes we did. My 2nd best day this year I think in betting, and I probably make about three times that in the stock market when Canada opens tomorrow. Gussing I'll end up between 15 and 30k somewhere in total unless something weird happens with the gold price.
