It's not surprising really. They like everyone else predicted a Clinton win. Trump and his rhetoric about ending NAFTA and other free trade deals has them freaking the fuck out.

I hope this fucker can be responsible over the coming days and choose his words carefully. Even if he does have plans to try to make huge changes like that, it has to take place over time so the markets can digest the info. If this goof comes out right away with more bluster about scrapping these trade deals he could cause a panic that snowballs into something really bad. He'd better realize that now his words REALLY have power and he can't shoot his mouth off like he's used to doing.

Holy shit they halted trading on the Nasdaq.

These are short term losses and over time the deregulation could end up being good for the markets but right now...damn.
 
It's actually healthy that the stock market starts standing on things like GDP & Earnings more. And less off of the Fed and Politicians propping it up.
