Police constable shows judge “how grenade works” inside courtroom, three injured

The constable, instead of explaining his expertise in weapons and grenade handling to the judge, opted to demonstrate practically by promptly pulling out the pin from the grenade.

This resulted in a loud explosion, injuring five including the judge, the constable and a court clerk.

Surprisingly, not in Florida. Dumbest thing I've heard of in a courtroom since last week, when a teacher said sleeping with students caused them to work harder and raise their grades.

It's almost just as shocking that he brought a live grenade into the court room anyway, even without pulling the pin.

Honestly I think he should be punished worse if there was no ill intent. It's one thing if he was just trying to hurt people, that can maybe be reformed through psychotherapy and medication. If he is so stupid that he accidentally blows up a bunch of people in a courtroom with a grenade he should never be a free man again.
 
Why bring a live grenade to demonstrate?

i was in court once and the judge was calling out names to step before him...he called someone and an attorney said he was dead

the judge laughed and said "guess he already got the death sentence huh"
