Media Poirier set on fighting again this year

I don't really see many options for him unless it's Dariush or Fiziev. No interest in Poirier/Holloway 3.
 
I'd rather he takes some more time off. Dudes get too eager to erase their last loss and sometimes do more damage.
 
If he wants to fight this year. He only has one option. He can only fight Dariush if he want to get back in the mix.
If he doesn’t want to fight this year. He can fight the loser of Islam vs Charles.

these are the only options.
 
Coming off a lost, most fighters seem eager to get back asap. When they have the belt, that's when they schedule a surgery for their nagging injuries, real or imagined.
 
Already fought Gaethje so cant be him, cant be Conor, Nates still gone, Olives and Islam are fighting for the belt, Fiziev is fighting Gamrot, cant even fight Colby since hes got Leon.
His only worthwile choices are Tsarukyan or Dariush this year so he will actually have to fight another contender.

But he wants to fight in the next 4 months.... money fights and marketing have to go hand in hand... aren't Nate and Jorge both retired?

He already fought everyone ranked above him.

Unless he waits for Conor 4 or fights a a WW.
 
I still want to see Poirier vs Gaethje 3, they are 1-1 so far and both finished each other. But maybe not next.. Poirier vs Dariush would be a fresh matchup and fun
