Who would win if they would be matched up right now?

Weird fight. I could see Poirier stopping Edson. I could also see Edson outclassing him on the feet and Dustin laying a major egg.

Who knows

I don't give a shit for some reason

Poirier maybe

Poirer me thinks, off straight up grit. Would be a fun match up.

I lean towards Poirier as well. There are a lot of x factors. It may be a pretty good fight. Poirier has shown a vulnerability to leg kicks lately (less disguised ones than Edson's).

What is interesting is both guys are bomb prone. When they get hit on the feet, they really get hit. It comes with the territory of being so offensive minded. So that alone makes it exciting.

Toss up. Both are liable to get KOd in any fight. I guess Poirer

I guess. But Barboza has had nearly 20 UFC fights and has been TKO'd once. Dustin has had a long ass career and has been stopped twice by strikes.

Haven't you people seen how Poirier was constantly pressuring Pettis against the fence, forcing him to fight within boxing range? Barbosa's boxing is almost non- existent, so If Dustin can overcome his opponent's speed and explosive in the first round which I believe he could, he would make a easy work on Barbosa.

If Barboza had better boxing i'd take him or even just real good power in his hands would get him a better chance.

I don't care about stats sometimes,we have seen both show sketchy chins.Barboza getting rocked with a Cerrone jab to a sub right after mind as well be a tko (well you know what I meant) it's the reason he got finished right there.

Yeah they both get hurt a lot in their fights I didn't necessarily mean stopped from strikes. Especially Edson, it seems like he gets rocked almost every fight.

Dustin has the better boxing but Edson got better kicks. The fight wont go to the ground so ill say Dustin by UD.

Not sure Poirier can walk right now so - should be an easy W for Barboza.

Barboza sucks against wrestlers who pressure him. Poirier doesn't come from a wrestling base but he has used his wrestling successfully in several fights. If he fights like he did in the Pettis fight I think he runs through Barboza.

It’s relative in my opinion and a bit of confirmation bias (not on your part, but on behalf of public opinion).

Per fight metric, he’s been dropped twice in his mma career. Finished once.

Yeah he’s been rocked other than that but I feel like people dwell on it more because they have a bias in their head already from the Cerrone jab (which was a one time occurence).

RDA has been rocked a shit ton and finished twice but nobody says things like that about him. Same with guys like Vick, Cowboy, Yancy, etc.
