So was looking at this weekends card and noticed that in the co-main event, Neil Magny has had 2 split decisions in the UFC and won them both, whereas Hector Lombard has had 2 split decisions in the UFC and lost them both. Got me wondering who the luckiest and unluckiest guys in the UFC are when it comes to split decisions.

The results: Robbie Lawler has had 3 split decisions since returnign to the the UFC and has won all 3 of them.
Benson Henderson was also 3-0 in split decisions before he left for Bellator.
Uriah Hall on the other hand has had 3 split decisions in the UFC and lost all 3.

May have missed some people, but the most & least successful in split decisions are below:
Robbie Lawler: 3-0
Benson Henderson: 3-0
Gleison Tbiau: 5-2
Diego Sanchez: 3-1
Eddie Alvarez: 2-0
Neil Magny: 2-0
Francisco Trinaldo: 2-0
Nik Lentz: 2-0
Rafael Natal: 2-0

Uriah Hall: 0-3
Danny Castillo: 1-3
TJ Dillashaw: 0-2
Hector Lombard: 0-2
Gilbert Melendez: 0-2
Jorge Masvidal: 0-2
Norman Parke: 0-2
Raquel Pennington: 0-2

Guys with lots of split decisions:
Half of Kelvin Gastelums 8 UFC fights have ended in split decision (W2 L2).
Gleison Tibau has been involved in 7 split decisions in his 26 UFC fights (W5 L2).
Rick Story has been involved in 6 split decisions in his 17 UFC fights (W3 L3).

So there's your pointless friday facts!

Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose plain and simple it has nothing to do with luck or anything else just maybe coincidence that it looks that way

Johnny Hendrix has lost the biggest fights by split but he did not blame luck he blamed himself

Thanks TS, I hope you keep up the practice of pointless Friday facts.

Good stuff. What about Condit? I think (don't remember) that Kampman 1, Ellenberger, Diaz, Lawler were all splits, so he's 2-2.

EDIT: looked it up, Duaz was a UD, so Condit is 1-2 in splits. Inb4 Diaz 1,2,5

Don't forget... every Friday we will expect something from you.

I still think Evan Dunham has gotten screwed out of more decision wins than anyone

Jake Shields has 3 split decision wins.
Condit has lost 2 won 1.
