Definitely an iconic villain. There were some great ones from that era.

I always enjoy the exchanges between Daniels, Hopper, and Keanu in the elevator sequence.

there will come a time, boy, when you’ll wish you never met me.

Mister, I’m already there.

haha.

I believe Hopper was originally suppose to die and Harry was suppose to be the killer. Not sure if true but I remember reading or hearing about it a long time ago.

I loved watching Dredd and I would gladly watch it again. The only issue I have with it is this....

Cersei falling to her death. I didn't like the slow mo shot of her falling, it was really cheesy and dumb. Wish she fell fast and messy which was the theme of death in the film.

Yeah I've seen upgrade at least 3 times.

I love when urban is like "shes not the law

I AM THE LAWWW"

yeah that wasnt shot great but it leads to a great one liner at the end. You think she has the upper hand with the transmitter and hes all "this isnt a negotiation" and dead legs her. Then hes all "you think that can get through 10 levels of concrete" and when the slow mo scene is done its he just goes

"Yeah." And walks off. Fucking mic drop ending. I love it. None of that pussy vague oh am I or was she the bad guy wow but in a flashback you realize the bad guy won...no. the law is withheld and there are no questions. The movie is called dredd and theres no question about who the fucking hero is and what has to be done to the enemy. The psychic chick was pretty hot too.

When he stitched himself up was bad ass too. They really should have made a sequel. I wanted more after it was over.

We tend to agree on films all the time. Usually when there's a top 5 or top 3 picks we normally have identical picks

I only watched Speed once. All I an remember about it is that I never wanted to take the time to watch it again. Not that it was bad. just that once was enough

Point Break is iconic. That does not mean it was consistently good. It is the first big surf movie that I ever remember watching. I mean not just the act of surfing but an attempt to capture certain elements of surf culture (like when Utah is buying his board and the kid in the shop is like "you are way too old to ever be all that good but have fun anyway gramps"). As an overall movie, there is something special about it. That should not gloss over the uneven acting, occasionally terrible dialogue ("take that squid face" is an actual line from the movie), and the general incoherence of the plot.

Because you have an unique....taste in movies.....or a disgust with great movies
lol, but these two movies are great! real good classic action films. i cant help but like them because they are good!

other movies, i wont go to name them, but i dont like them because they are thrash!

Hmm, intriguing. Never heard that. Sounds too convoluted and silly to me.

Also, what are the odds that Daniels would star in two big hits in 1994 playing characters named Harry?

It's perhaps worth mentioning that Gary Busey starred in Big Wednesday, what was largely considered the definitive surfing movie of the 70s.

Ok I'm wrong. Way wrong. Harry was suppose to die but they changed it he was wounded instead

Yeah me and you are way closer compared to me and @SeeingThings. Except for one major movie disagreement we have.

That's why I figured dredd was a good one for you to watch. I feel I can gauge what people will like. For example not sure if you would enjoy something like the wailing, same with @Solid I'm not sure would enjoy that. He has similar taste as well. We both enjoyed gattaca a lot. Also john woo films better tomorrow/the killer/hard boiled which I really enjoyed.

@Limo Character I cant tell if he agrees with me or disagrees.

Only subtitled films I've watched are blue is the warmest colour and kung fu films. To me you're like that Seinfeld episode where they all of their "guy" at the movie rental place, the staff picks.

I'll give it a shot if I can find it.

Sadly I couldn't find predestination

Movies have gone downhill in the last 15 years, even more in the last 5.

Off the top of my head

Once upon a time in Hollywood
Django unchained
Silver linings playbook
Edge of tomorrow
The conjuring
Avengers infinity war
Macgruber

I would have to really look to give you an accurate list.

I just finished Dredd and that movie was awesome. @revoltub
thats your last 15 years?
