Poatan defended the title 3 times in a calendar year, last fighter to do that was Kamaru in 2021, before him was Mighty Mouse in 2013

4 times in past 12 months

All by knockout

And wants to go a 5th in December

Doesn’t care about his record - he said he doesn’t care because he’s not scared to lose …. Said if he lost he’d still want to fight in December caz he just genuinely loves fighting

Let's see Pereira keep this up for the next 10 years and then we'll talk.
Give him a license to cheat and a handicap (pulsing exemption his opponents didn’t enjoy) and we can compare inactive jones vs active former MW Alex.

Guys like Israel fight a lot too. It is kinda normal or on the low side for kickboxers if they are first starting out. They fight a lot unless they are stuck in a contract with a big org. They don't make as much so they fight try to fight 4-5 times or more in a year. Tournament style fighting also allows people to rack up many fights quickly.

They're the same age, Jones has had 29 pro fights and Alex has had 54 pro fights including his kickboxing career.

It's amazing he's been able to have a full elite kickboxing career then basically relaunch his MMA career is his mid-30s and go on a GOAT level run.
