Great series. I really enjoyed it. Seehorn was incredible and deserves award consideration. Gilligan is a master storyteller and the visual exactness reminds me a bit of Fincher.

It is a puzzle box without getting bogged down. Looking forward to season 2, although it sounds like that is a couple of years away. sigh.

To me, Pluribus is a level down from Severance but still an ultra high quality, smart series

@HenryFlower - I thought you had watched the first 3 episodes? Did you not stick with it?

Watched the first episodes then the dumber it got i couldn't keep watching.

Apple gets great press but not very good shows imo. Only Ted Lasso imo was ever great on Apple

she won the Critics’ Choice & Golden Globe for lead performance in a drama, so she should be a lock for an Emmy nom this year. she’s also picked up noms for an Actor (formerly SAG) award & a Satellite award

agreed. barring a quality collapse of epic proportions, Severance is a lock for one of the all-time bests. Pluribus has the makings for potentially earning a seat at the table though.

i finished s1 a couple weeks ago. i edited my first post to include my review/thoughts/analysis

I really enjoyed it. I can understand some of the criticisms as far as it being slow, but I also think thats deliberate. It might have a slower pace, but I disagree with the criticisms that nothing happens. This isn't a show that's about the reveal, plot twist or mystery box around the corner. In fact, everything is pretty much known fairly early on in the series. It's not about surprises. Its more about the situation and how the characters respond to it. It's pacing is deliberate, and it might not be for everybody. That's fair, and I think people who start arguing that those who don't like it don't "get it" are being pretentious douches.

Not every show needs to be about mysterious plot twists. I dont necessarily want every show on TV to have the same pacing as this one, but Im super glad theres at least one doing it this way. This kind of storytelling has become sort of lost over recent years in favor of more "bang for your time". Im all in for season 2.
