First of all, Jiří Procházka submitted Glover, but could not submit Po Atan — and got KO'd by him.
Procházka beat Pereira's sensei, but he could not be Pereira. Your argument is therefore invalid.
Perhaps the most important advantage for Pereira is the fact Jones' greatest assets were his low kicks. Alex is even superior to Jones in his own leg kicks — and Pereira blows Jones away in both power, and technical skill, as a striker.
So a question I would like to see answered is, how would Jones deal with being out-struck in the leg kicking department?
Jones has a wrestling chance, but Alex has shown the ability to stay poised, get back up — after which he always takes over on the now-exhausted foe.
Jon Jones does have a great chin — but he has never faced a puncher like Alex Pereira.
