Please make Sandhagen vs Omalley happen

I said I wanted this after Sean got by Yan. But full well knew they're then and probably still now going to try and angle Sean into a title fight before anything else. Only way I see this fight happen next is if Aljo beats Cejudo, and moves up to 45 and vacates. Then I could see them make that fight for the vacant belt.

Yep. There is no way in hell that Dana will jeopardise his big O'Malley wet dream by pitting him against a tricky operator like Sandhagen.

(even though it makes sense and would be a spectacular fight for the fans)
That's what we thought about Vera and Sandhagen, and that sucked

It really is the fight to make. Sandhagen murders him. He's had a few setbacks but as he showed last night, he's a fucking monstrous bantamweight. Top 3 easily. Omalley is alright, he's better than I originally thought but he's got nothing for Cory.

It only sucked in rds 3-4, which is when Vera was supposed to turn it on and make things exciting.

Needless to say, O'Malley is a completely different fighter. While Vera is practically a turn-based striker, rarely venturing out of his shell when the opponent is throwing, O'Malley relishes opportunities to counter. Irrelevant, I know, at least on the short term, as Dana will not let the fight happen now that O'Malley has done just enough to get his title shot.

Suga would hurt him.
I agree. People forget Suga was basically toying with Vera before that kicked that caused Sean's ankle to spaz out. It wasn't a hard kick either, just hit the right spot. After that, all the Sean haters predicted every one of his opponents would beat him by taking out his "chicken legs". Well he became much better at checking kicks after that, and we've seen the results. He's stronger now too. Cory looked good last night. Nice mix of takedowns, control, and boxing. I just don't see him being able to dictate the standup against Sean, and I don't believe he'll be able to hold Sean down like he did Vera. If it's a 3 round fight, Sean by close decision. Five rounds, Sean might knock him out late.

This would be a great stand up fight!!!

Sean is a better striker than Sandhagen tho.

Stylistically could be a snoozer. Can see both doing a lot of moving and not a lot of striking.

Chitos post fight statement:
I BEAT HIM, EVERYBODY OUT THERE KNOW I BEAT HIM. I CONTROLLED THE FIGHT, HE WAS MISSING, I HIT HIM PLENTY MORE TIMES. I BEAT HIM.

I WANT TO THANK THE WHOLE HOOD WHO CAME OUT HERE. I LOVE Y’ALL. I DID THIS FOR THE HOOD, Y’ALL KNOW I BEAT THAT BOY.

THEY TRYING TO GET THAT SUPERFIGHT WITH CANELO AND BENAVIDEZ, BUT IT'S COOL, I AIN'T WORRIED ABOUT IT I'M STILL THAT N- MAN. I'M ON TOP TENNESSEE STAND UP, WESTSIDE. TWO-FIVE.
Is he speaking on the Samdhagen fight? I sure as fk hope not. Chito got his ass whopped

Quit protecting the strikers. If someone is earning a shot vs Aljo or Cejudo they should show some competency vs a strong grappler first. Sandhagen has the takedown defense of a 12 year old boy, let's see how he does vs Merab or Simon to get his title shot.

Chito Vera was about to get a title shot with a win despite only showing bad takedown defense and a bad guard his entire career too, this has to stop.

O'Malley got wrestled by Yan pretty thoroughly, I think Aljo will violate him easy too.

Quit protecting the strikers.
Sandhagen is clearly a wrestler now

People sleeping on Suga.

He's not going to wait for the perfect shot for three rounds like Vera.

Eventually he'll let go and piece Cory up. If Cory can't hold him down, it's game over.

Maybe, maybe not. O'Malley might have done slightly better vs Yan, but he had a big reach advantage in that fight (72" vs 67") - he might not find it as easy dealing with a fellow high volume guy who has a similar reach (70").

Note that I didn't say that Sandhagen smokes O'Mally, or anything along those lines. I am just saying that Dana is not going to give O'Malley a challenging fight like that when he has him locked in on a title shot.
