I was watching the scorecards for this fight and saw two judges gave Nate a 10-9 and one judge gave Nate a 10-8.



In your eyes did Nate do enough damage to Conor to make it a 10-8 round?

I myself give it a 10-9 Nate

Conor has a terrible poker face when he's gassed so it looks worse than it really is. Lot of arm punches and slaps. Nothing overly damaging.

It’s always exaggerated. Like Penn-GSP round 1. Penn lands some really good strikes the first 2 minutes and then Georges takes control for the remainder. It’s actually a competitive round. A clear 10-9 for Penn but the “10-8“ narrative baffles me.

I forget exactly how I scored it other than giving a slight edge to Conor (in the fight overall I mean, not the 3rd obviously). Really though, 1st and 3rd are comparable on opposite sides of the coin. You could justify either 10-9 or 10-8 in the 3rd... but then you'd likely give Conor the 1st in the same way to cancel it out.

Will have to rewatch this one. I just remember it being a competitive grueling 5 round war.

I don't remember disagreeing with the decision though. Rooted for Nate.
