It can't be an island because part of the theory (depending on the lunatic l) hinges on the fact that a massive ice wall exists, like in game of thrones, and the government does not want us to know what's on the other side.....which could be giants, a cliff into space, who knows.

A few times in my life I have encountered some unique and/or bizarre people and had conversations with them.

One guy I met in Reno was a "professional gambler" and was absolutely convinced that every president from Bush Sr to Biden were imposters and planted by the illuminati. Like those men existed and had real lives but the man that they put in front of the camera on the news was not Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama/Trump/Biden. I read enough about conspiracies to be more knowledgeable than most but this was a new one to me and over a few drinks I was very entertained/amused by what this guy had to say.

I can see Mike having some equally bizarre takes on life, politics, conspiracy theories, etc.

Oh Dark City should be a centerpiece of flat earth theory, I totally agree. There's so much potential there, big pharma stealing our dreams.....a ruling class of inhuman beings puppeting their human collaborators to keep us all in the literal dark.
