Yeah modern handguns have internal safeties to make sure they don't fire when dropped and whatnot. So the manual safety, or thumb safety, as it's sometimes called, is now considered obsolete by many people. And a lot of gun makers don't include them on their guns anymore.
They just think the gun is safe if it only fires when the trigger is pulled.
I disagree. Because dogs apparently can pull triggers.
You don't need one ...if you aren't a total fuckin retard. But there are risks to just rocking a pistol in your waistband with no holster.
