Yea they are good. So good you made a thread about it

Its unamerican not to love them

Love Pistachios,,, Mixed with some Cashews and Macadamia nuts... just delicious.

Fuck the prices for them though. I usually just get a bag full at the store and get a popcorn seed tag to scan them at the self checkout.

One time I couldn't stop myself and ate a whole bag of pistachios

... if you want to seriously wreak havoc on your system ... eat a whole bag of pistachios in one sitting

Came in cuz I liked the thread title and I like pistachios.

I like eating them.... but sometimes I get alittle hung up on the thought of so many peasants handling them before making their way to the store I buy them at.

Tried amazon? They sell them in the UK, also they sell pistachio butter, wonder what that's like.

EDIT: On closer inspection, it seems they are raw, unsalted.

I enjoy them but don't really eat them a lot for reasons I don't know

I ate a xlarge zip lock bag full of them when drunk being driven home from a party. I dropped the shells on the floor of the passenger side of my buddies car and there was just a couple inches of shells. Haha. What an ass.

It was unamerican to love them because Iran was the major exporter of Pistachios. But American patriots came to the rescue and planted pistachio trees in California to defeat Iran!

' One-hundred percent of the U.S. pistachio crop is grown in the West, including California (98.5 percent of the crop), Arizona, and New Mexico. There are about 850 pistachio growers in the tri-state area.

California growers have about 250,000 acres of pistachios in 22 counties.

The financial impact of the U.S. pistachio industry is about $1.3 billion.

“2012 was a remarkable year,” said APG Board Chairman Jim Zion, a pistachio grower. “We produced a record pistachio crop last year, have record shipments, and some of the highest grower prices in recent years.”

Zion added, “We can truly say it is good to be a pistachio grower.” '

Pistachios, Pecans, and Cashews rule the world.

Macadamia nuts get an honorable mention.

Imo good old roasted & salted peanuts are underated af though.

Almost a full page in and no mention of pistachio ice cream or pistachio pudding! The nuts are good, but those are where the pistachio flavor truly shines.
