Picture Signatures

Was screwing around in my profile options today, and stumbled upon the option to have a 500x100 pixel picture signature as long as it was 19.5kb (I think) or smaller.

Noticed it didn't appear to be working, so my question is if this option will ever be enabled again in the future?

Why it was taken away?

I would also like to suggest that it be re-administered (perhaps at a smaller size?) for Platinum users.

I hope they don't enable those. I've seen other forums that have that feature and and it seems to fuck with the integrity of the format.

It was disabled a good ways back, before my time even, because it slowed the load times on pages, and quite honestly, they look like shit.

I started lurking on this site in 05-06 and I don't even remember them then. And yes they look terrible.
