Picture for a signature. I uploaded it any everything..Do I have to wait for it to be approved before its viewable?

It can't be done here. If it was allowed you'd probably see one or two people with them.

Well when I go to edit signature..It gave me the option on uploading a picture as long as it was 500x100 pixels.

That's part of the forum template (or whatever you want to call it). It's not enabled here.
