I agree in the “what are you doing” sticking up for a guy like war machine on the internet.

That said cases like this interest me in the sense of it shows how insane some women really are.

Like when you hear of serial killers who target and rape women having groupies.

Obviously war machine isn’t that bad but she doesn’t look entirely unattractive. I’d guess she has some kind of histrionic personality disorder or he has money that he’s sending her.

He held her against her will (kidnapped) and tortured her. Those are the words that best describe exactly what he did, if you care to look into it. But because it was his girlfriend that he did those things to, there's a segment that sees that as a mitigating factor. In reality, it should be the opposite. It's one thing to do something like that to a stranger, but how twisted do you need to be to do that to someone you actually profess to care about?

The legal system has a bad habit of seeing people in relationship with you, or even in your care, as somehow less worthy of legal protection from you. Think of a guy taking a child from a mall and sexually assaulting them and leaving them by the side of the road versus a guy repeatedly sexually assaulting his own child. The first goes away for ever. The second gets 6 months and loses visitation rights.

It's actually quite satisfying to see the rare occasion when this pattern of injustice is resisted.
 
So, get married and no sex? Isn't a life sentence in prison enough punishment?
